Prerequisite: Introduction to Mass Communication and/or Teacher Recommendation This course prepares students to produce live broadcasts and studio shows through hands-on experience in both production and on-air roles. Students develop skills as play-by-play announcers, analysts, sideline reporters, and studio hosts while also researching storylines, conducting interviews, writing scripts, creating rundowns and graphics, and managing social media promotion. They learn to shoot, edit, and report video features, study the history and trends of sports media, and collaborate to broadcast live sporting or arts events. Student-created content may be published on school social media, the website, YouTube, and, when possible, through live game productions.
