NOTE: This course does not fulfill PDE’s mandate to complete a personal finance course. Starting with the Class of 2028 and beyond, all students must take Personal Finance (652) OR Independent Living (839)to fulfill this mandate. This course combines foundational business principles with essential personal finance skills to prepare students for college, careers, and real-world financial decision-making. Through project-based learning, case studies, and financial simulations, students explore topics including entrepreneurship, marketing, management, accounting, investing, budgeting, credit, and risk management. Students have the opportunity to take the AP exam for potential college credit, developing critical thinking and practical skills for economic literacy and workforce readiness.
